Right of withdrawal

When you place an order with Occident Media B.V., you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason.

14-day cooling-off period

The cooling-off period is 14 days and begins on the day after you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), have received your order. If your order consists of several products that are delivered separately, the cooling-off period begins on the day after you have received the last product. You may inform us that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal within the cooling-off period. You do not need to give a reason for this.

How do I exercise my right of withdrawal?

Would you like to cancel your order? Please let us know clearly within the 14-day cooling-off period. You can do this, for example, by email or via our contact form.

Please include the following, if possible:

  • your name;
  • your address;
  • the email address used to place the order;
  • your order number;
  • the date of your order;
  • that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal.
Cancel an order

Returning products

Once you have informed us that you are exercising your right of withdrawal, you have a further 14 days to return the products to us. During the cooling-off period, we ask that you handle the products and their packaging with care. You may examine and assess a product in the same way as you would in a shop.

If a product has been used beyond what is necessary to ascertain its nature, characteristics and functioning, and has consequently lost value, we may hold you liable for this loss of value. You are responsible for the direct costs of returning the products, unless otherwise agreed with you.

If possible, please include your order number with your return so that we can process it quickly.

Refund

If you validly cancel the order, we will refund the purchase price. If you return the entire order, we will also refund the cost of our standard delivery.

Have you chosen a more expensive delivery method than our cheapest standard delivery? In that case, any additional costs associated with that delivery method will not be refunded. We will pay the amount due as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we have received your notice of withdrawal.

We may delay the refund until we have received the products, or until you have provided proof that you have returned them, whichever comes first. The refund will be made via the same payment method you used for the original order, unless otherwise agreed with you. We will not charge any fees for the refund.

Damaged or incorrectly delivered product

Have you received a damaged product, or have we accidentally sent you the wrong item? If so, please get in touch with us. We’ll look into finding a suitable solution as soon as possible.

This is separate from your statutory rights where a product supplied does not comply with the contract.
